Inazuma Eleven: Victory Road Introduces Its Selectable Story Characters

Level-5 released a new trailer for the upcoming football RPG Inazuma Eleven: Victory Road. The new trailer introduces the fifteen “Selectable Characters” in the game’s story mode and their guest Japanese voice actors. During the story mode, players can choose five of these characters to round off the South Cirrus Junior High football team in addition to its main characters. In addition to being part of the team, the selected characters will be involved in conservation and story events.

Inazuma Eleven: Victory Road will come with two main modes: Story Mode and Chronicle Mode. Story Mode features a new story following Destin Billows. It sees players completing missions and quests as South Cirrus Junior High aims to become the top team in Japan. Meanwhile, Chronicle Mode sees players trying to create the strongest team from across the series’ history. Its premise sees the far future’s Victorio Cryptix attempting to summon the ultimate fighting spirit to take down the high-dimensional threat known as the Mind Eater. He uses the Inazuma Victory Caravan to travel through time and observe Inazuma‘s history, allowing players to relive various moments and meet conditions to advance the story while they form a team from over 5,200 available characters.

Inazuma Eleven: Victory Road acts as a reboot for the series and will release for PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch, and Nintendo Switch 2 on August 21, 2025. More details about the game can be found in our previous article and its official website.
