Welcome to RPGamer’s new release round-up. In this column, we look to provide our readers with details on the major RPGs released in the last week (and a couple we missed out last time around). Please note we do not currently include Early Access releases where the game is still in development. Pricing is shown in US dollars before application of any discounts, local pricing may vary.


Elden Ring Nightreign

Elden Ring Nightreign is a standalone co-op action title set in the Elden Ring universe. The game sees squads of up to three players attempting to survive in the ever-shifting environment of Limveld. Players begin each session at the Roundtable Hold, where they choose from eight characters with their own distinct abilities, before being sent into Limveld to try and survive the coming Night’s Tide. The map shrinks as Night’s Tide approaches, with players having to end each night by facing off against a powerful boss, culminating in the third night where they battle the chosen Nightlord.

Following on from the events of Fuga: Melodies of Steel and Fuga: Melodies of Steel 2Fuga: Melodies of Steel 3 sees the children setting on a rescue mission after Malt disappears. Discovering the Taranis in a hidden cave, the children’s rescue mission takes them into the heart of the Berman Empire, with the powerful Crimson Knights standing in their way. Fuga: Melodies of Steel 3 features a reworked combat system that adds weakness combos to deal escalating damage with every hit. It also contains assist attacks, which have enemies and a warrior from past games help turn the tide of battle.


Kabuto Park

Kabuto Park is a bug-catching game where players attempt to catch critters able to win the Summer Beetle Battles Championship. Players catch a team of bugs to participate in sumo-style matches, upgrading their equipment to find more powerful bugs.


Lynked: Banner of the Spark

Lynked: Banner of the Spark is billed as a “rogue-life” RPG, combining action roguelite gameplay with life sim-style progression. The game is set in the year 30XX, where the natural world has been overrun by an evil robot force. Players rescue and join up with robot companions called the Unibots, forming a community and building a new future. The game features hack-and-slash missions for up to four players at once, with players using materials obtained during them to expand and upgrade their home base.


Nice Day for Fishing

Fishing RPG Nice Day for Fishing is a licenced title based on the Viva La Dirt League sketch group’s Epic NPC Man series. Players control the fisherman Baelin, who must defend the town of Honeywood through the only profession he knows after the world’s adventurers go missing. The game sees players engage in fishing battles to fulfil quests, grow stronger, and gain new spells and equipment. Players need to equip the right bait and time their attacks to succeed. Baeilin will travel through the Honeywood forest to the Azerim coast on his adventure, while finding resources that can be used to rebuild Honeywood to its former glory.

16-bit-style turn-based RPG Starlight Legacy is set in Evaria Kingdom. The kingdom benefited from decades of prosperity and peace thanks to the Eternity Tree, which enriches and purifies the soil, water, and air of the entire kingdom. This eventually comes to an end after the destruction of the Eternity Tree, following unrest due to a ban on the education of magic and a subsequent separatist movement to liberate one of the kingdom’s provinces. The player takes on the role of warriors Ignus and Teryl, who are tasked with restoring the Eternity Tree and saving Evaria from the ongoing turmoil. The game is billed as featuring seamless exploration with no loading screens and a non-linear story where the four provinces of Evaria Kingdom can be explored in any order.


Twilight Wars

Twilight Wars is a turn-based dungeon crawler set in a cyberpunk mid-21st century world. The game sees players attempting to rebuild the Anonymous Arbitration Agency, an espionage agency designed to keep corporations in check, after it is attacked by mysterious forces. Players lead squads of agents on high-stakes missions while managing their mental state and physical health.

Welcome to Planet E1d0r4d0! is a 2D side-scrolling action RPG with tavern management elements. The game follows Louise, who explores a distant planet by day while managing the Habitable Zone tavern at night. Players must help her manage ingredients, prepare drinks, and assist customers, while looking for new leads about her sister’s disappearance. Advanced soul cloning technology allows Louise to return after each defeat.
