New Release Round-Up (March 28, 2024)

Welcome to RPGamer’s new release round-up. In this column we look to provide our readers with details on all of the RPGs released over the week. Please note we do not currently include Early Access releases where the game is still in development.

Geneforge 2 – Infestation

Geneforge 2 – Infestation is a remaster of 2003 open-world RPG Geneforge 2. The game features open-ended game design with players able to use combat, diplomacy, or trickery to achieve their goals. The remake promises improved visuals, a new melee and missile system, and more content such as new characters, new storylines, and new abilities.

Grandia HD Collection

The Grandia HD Collection contains Grandia HD Remaster and Grandia II HD Remaster. The HD versions of both games include enhancements to the UI, game sprites, texture art, and cinematic videos. Both games are set in fantasy worlds with their standalone stories. Grandia follows an aspiring adventurer called Justin who sets out to uncover the mystery of a lost civilisation, while Grandia II follows mercenary Ryudo, who is hired to escort the songstress Elena as she conducts a special ritual.

Outward

Open-world survival RPG Outward puts players in the role of a vulnerable inhabitant of the fantasy world of Aurai. The game features hardcore survival elements including wounds that can become infected plus the need for sleep and sustenance. It also features two-player cooperative multiplayer both locally and online.

Terra Memoria

Turn-based RPG Terra Memoria sees players sent out on an investigation across the world of Terra following a shortage of magic crystals and the awakening of ancient robots. Players control a party of six characters who are brought together, each with their own story, and make use of the game’s crafting and building system to overcome environmental puzzles and even reconstruct parts of the world.
