Cassette Beasts Sunshine Update Adds New Monsters, Partner Character
Publisher Raw Fury and developer Bytten Studio have released a new update for monster-battling RPG Cassette Beasts. The “Sunshine” update adds three new monsters to the game — Pawper, Pawprince, and Minosteam — and lets players recruit Sunny as a partner character. She has her own storyline that involves the landkeepers of New Wirral and lets players access certain locations, though her content is only available to those who have completed the main story. The update comes alongside a new “Wing Pack” DLC that includes eight new alternative wing cosmetics.
Cassette Beasts is currently available on PC, Linux, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch. The game takes players to New Wirral, a remote island filled with monsters of all shapes and sizes. The residents have learned to fight back by recording the monsters on cassettes and playing the tapes back to use them in battle. The game features turn-based combat, with an open world where players travel around with a companion, and two-player local co-op.
