Action RPG Riven Crown Planned for Next Year
Intima Leaf Studio has announced action RPG Riven Crown. The game is stated to blend Soulslike gameplay and combo-driven fighting game-style combat and is planned to release in late 2026. It is in development for PC and can be wishlisted now on Steam.
Riven Crown follows a fallen hero who dies and is transported to a higher dimension. To alter their fate, they must fight through multiple worlds populated by corrupted civilisations whose inhabitants have been transformed into beasts or demons. Its narrative will feature branching story paths, with the game featuring interlinked handcrafted locations with puzzles, secrets, and environmental storytelling to uncover.
The game’s combat is inspired by fighting games like The King of Fighters and utilises a Super State where players can enter a fast-paced combat mode with enhanced attacks, a swift dodge, and distinct combo system for each weapon type. Players will be able to rescue prisoners, which helps power up their special attacks. Precision-based combat also makes use of standing and crouching blocks, as well as light and heavy kicks to break enemy guards. It is planned to contain around 25–35 hours of gameplay.
