Glory of Heracles III Getting Japanese Steam Release
Developer and publisher G-Mode announced a Japanese PC release via Steam for turn-based RPG Glory of Heracles III. The game was originally created by Data East and released for Super Famicom in Japan in 1992. The PC release — which will launch on March 28, 2025 — is based on the 2008 mobile release created by G-Mode, which was previously ported to Nintendo Switch in Japan in 2020. The game has never been released in English, with only the sixth and most recent entry, the Nintendo DS title known simply as Glory of Heracles, getting a western release.
The Glory of Heracles series is inspired by Greek mythology and the exploits of the hero Heracles. Glory of Heracles III‘s scenario is written by Kazushige Nojima, who is known for later writing Final Fantasy VII, Final Fantasy VIII, Final Fantasy X, Kingdom Hearts, and more. The game features a command-based, party-based battle system as well as a day/night cycle that impacts the characters and shops available for players to interact with.
