Hercules no Eikou II: Taitan no Metsubou PS5, Switch 2 Release Coming This Week

Hamster Corporation announced a new classic RPG console release as part of its Console Archives label. Data East’s Hercules no Eikou II: Taitan no Metsubou, the second game in the Glory of Heracles series, will release for PlayStation 5 and Nintendo Switch 2 on July 16, 2026. The game will be available internationally, priced at $7.99, but only the user interface and manual will be available in English, with the game content available in Japanese only.

The Glory of Heracles series is based on Greek mythology. Released for Famicom in 1989, Hercules no Eikou II no longer sees players controlling Heracles/Hercules himself, instead introducing a new party system, and features a scenario written by Kazushige Nojima. The series received four entries developed by Data East that were only released in Japan, while a fifth entry was created by Paon and released for Nintendo DS in North America in 2010 as Glory of Heracles.
