Eydigard Coming to Steam Early Access Next Month

Developer Frostisen Studio announced that its upcoming action RPG Eydigard will come to Steam Early Access on April 29, 2025. The title is expected to spend six to twelve months in Early Access.

Eydigard is set in 16th-century Northern Norway and takes inspiration from Norwegian and Sami folklore as well as video games such as The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt and Valheim. It follows a mercenary gifted with shapeshifting abilities and tasked with reclaiming lands now inhabited by mythical and hostile creatures following a mysterious plague.

Players can shapeshift into various animal forms, such as a bear or lynx, each with its own specialized skills for stealth, combat, or puzzle-solving. Players can also restore and manage ruined farms to bring prosperity back to the ravaged lands. The game features open-world exploration with a single-player mode and co-op multiplayer with up to six players. The choices made by the player through the game influence the balance between rival clans, shaping the fate of the region.
