Welcome to RPGamer’s new release round-up. In this column we look to provide our readers with details on all of the RPGs released in the last week. Please note we do not currently include Early Access releases where the game is still in development. Pricing is shown in US dollars before application of any discounts, local pricing may vary.
Avowed

First-person action RPG Avowed is set in the same world as Obsidian Entertainment’s Pillars of Eternity series. Players control an envoy sent by the Aedyran emperor into a region called the Living Lands. They arrive at the port city of Paradis, which has been shaped by multiple generations of pioneers and is now the centre of tension between the empire and the locals. This tension is exacerbated by a mysterious plague called the Dreamscourge, which is affecting the people, animals, and even the land, eventually turning those afflicted into fungal-sprouting Dreamthralls.

Horror visual novel RPG hybrid Cabernet is set in 19th-century Eastern Europe and follows Liza, who has been pulled into the supernatural world after becoming a vampire. She lives in a stately home that is inhabited by both supernatural beings and humans. During the night, players are able to explore the town and get to know the local characters, all the while planning their next feast. Failing to return home before sunrise results in Liza’s death. Players will need to balance their hunger and morality and can unlock various vampiric powers such as shifting into a bat, hypnotisation, and invisibility.

Dead Dragons is a retro-styled fantasy RPG. It takes place 100 years after, humanity triumphed over dragons, and follows a protagonist who uncovers the secrets behind a young girl who is tied to the dragons. The game’s combat features a Rotation Battle System, where the party swaps places mid-combat to outmanoeuvre enemies.
Doors of Insanity: ReOpened

Roguelite deckbuilder Doors of Insanity: ReOpened is billed as being half-remake, half-sequel to 2022 title Doors of Insanity. The game sees players trying to escape the absurd and endless maze of Purgatory, building a deck from over 100 cards with various synergies. It also includes an equipment system that impacts the player’s cards as well as a dice system for various bonuses.
Like a Dragon: Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii

Like a Dragon: Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii takes place following the events of Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth. It sees players controlling Goro Majima, who suffers from amnesia after being shipwrecked on a deserted island and travels across the ocean to recover his identity. The game features the series’ traditional brawling action combat, with Majima able to switch between Mad Dog and Sea Dog combat styles. RPG Maker WITH is the latest console-dedicated title in the RPG creation suite series. Its new asset sharing feature, in addition to letting users share completed projects, allows them to share and download maps and events, as well as in-progress projects, as parts.
Tribe Nine

Action RPG Tribe Nine is set in the year 20XX in futuristic Neo Tokyo. It is ruled by a mysterious masked man known as Zero, who requires that everything is settled through “Extreme Games”. A group of young rebels aim to resist Zero’s rule, using techniques and gear inspired by their favourite game, Extreme Baseball (XB). Regular battles feature three-person parties, with each playable character having their own unique skills, actions, and play style. In addition, the game has a special XB battle mode for certain duels featuring 3D cutscenes.
