Genshin Impact Version 5.2 Launching with Xbox Series X|S Version Next Week

Developer and publisher HoYoverse announced that its free-to-play action RPG Genshin Impact‘s will receive its next update on November 20, 2024. The version 5.2 titled Tapestry of Spirit and Flame comes with new Saurians, characters, tribes, and more. The update will come the same day that the game launches on Xbox Series X|S and Xbox Cloud Gaming. By logging into the game on Xbox, players with an Adventure Rank of 2 or above can receive the in-game glider “Wings of Fate’s Course Intertwined” early, ahead of its planned Version 5.3 release.

The version 5.2 introduces two new Saurians: Qucusaurs, which excel in gliding, and Iktomisaurs, which can detect hidden mechanisms. The update also adds two new characters, who are both bow wielders: Chasca is a five-star Anemo with multi-elemental gunshots, while Ororon is a four-star Electro with a unique Nightsoul mechanic that interacts with Electro and Hydro teammates. The Flower-Feather Clan and Masters of the Night-Wind are newly introduced tribes, with players able to help the Flower-Feather Clan recover from Abyssal contamination through the Archon Quest with Chapter V: Interlude. In addition, the update will feature a new seasonal event featuring Citlali and Ororon, with the 4-star sword Calamity of Eshu as a reward. Meanwhile, players will be able to face the new boss Tenebrous Papilla, which has the ability to transform into different enemies.

Genshin Impact originally released in September 2020 and is available for PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, iOS, and Android. Players control a character in the world of Teyvat known as “the Traveler” and must embark on a journey to find their missing sibling. They are joined by NPC companion Paimon, travelling in a party of up to four active members.
