Metal Slug Tactics Discusses New Angle

Publisher Dotemu and developer Leikir Studio revealed a new video for their tactical RPG Metal Slug Tactics. The seven-minute-long video, titled “A New Angle”, sees staff members of Leikir Studio sharing how they proceeded to turn the original side-scrolling run-and-gun Metal Slug into a tactical RPG and the challenges encountered in the process.

Metal Slug Tactics is a tactical RPG take on the Metal Slug side-scrolling run-and-gun series, and sees the Peregrine Falcon Squad fighting on isometric maps. The game will feature other elements from its parent series, such as settings, weapons, environmental damage, and villains, along with skill trees, perks, super attacks, and roguelite elements. Metal Slug Tactics is planned to release in fall 2024 for PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch.
