River City Saga: Three Kingdoms Next Showcases Its Setting and Gameplay

Developer and publisher Arc System Works released a new trailer for the upcoming beat-’em-up title River City Saga: Three Kingdoms Next. The three-minute-long video introduces the game’s setting, its rival factions, and character progression.

A sequel to 2021’s River City Saga: Three Kingdoms, River City Saga: Three Kingdoms Next sees Kunio once again taking on the role of Guan Yu in the Kunio-kun’s series take on Chinese historical novel Romance of the Three Kingdoms. Three Kingdoms Next covers six chapters from the Yellow Turban Rebellion to the Battle of Red Cliffs. Players can unleash special attacks as well as utilise ten different tactics while gaining experience and powering up their characters. River City Saga: Three Kingdoms Next will release worldwide for PC, PlayStation 4, and Nintendo Switch on November 7, 2024.
