Infinity Knights: Xross Begins Kickstarter Campaign

Developer Timesea Studio has begun its Kickstarter crowdfunding campaign for co-op RPG Infinity Knights: Xross. The campaign is set to run until July 25, 2024, and has a AU$55,000 (around US$37,000) goal, of which it is over 80% of the way towards at the time of writing. Those who pledge at least AU$40 will receive a digital copy of the game as part of their backer rewards.

Infinity Knights: Xross follows the newest member of the Infinity Knights, which serve the king and wield the Armaments, weapons capable of reviving the slain enemies. The game’s story takes place as rumours swirl around the kingdom, including a mysterious cloaked figure, ancient beasts, an apparently ageless king, a plot to bring the kingdom down. It is planned as the first title in an anthology, and will feature music from composer Hiroki Kikuta, best known for his work on the Mana series.

The game is inspired by classic SNES action RPGs, with players joined by two AI- or player-controlled allies with a wide selection of playable characters. Combat allows players to move, dodge, block, parry, and counter, with strategic options including changing weaponry and elements to take advantage of enemy weaknesses. The game will also feature gathering and production elements, including fishing, mining, woodcutting, and other mini-games.

Infinity Knights: Xross is in development for PC and currently unspecified consoles. It is currently planned for release in 2025.
