The Legend of Heroes: Trails through Daybreak Demo Releasing Next Week
NIS America announced that it is releasing a demo for Nihon Falcom’s The Legend of Heroes: Trails through Daybreak. The demo will be available on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and Nintendo Switch on June 4, 2024. The demo will let players go through the game’s prologue and first chapter on PlayStation consoles, with its Nintendo Switch version limited to just the prologue due to space restrictions. Saves from the demo can be transferred over to the full version of the game, which releases for PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and Nintendo Switch on July 5, 2024.
The Legend of Heroes: Trails through Daybreak takes place in S.1208, a year after the events of Trails into Reverie. The game acts as the start of a new story arc set in the Republic of Calvard. It follows new protagonist Van Arkride, who works as a spriggan — effectively a private detective and mercenary — based out the Old Town district of Calvard’s capital city Edith. The game also features a new combat system that mixes a new real-time action system and the series’ traditional turn-based combat.
