Dragon Quest III HD-2D Remake Platforms Confirmed

Square Enix post a new teaser for its upcoming Dragon Quest III HD-2D Remake. The teaser, posted on the 38th anniversary of the series first title’s debut in Japan, revealed that the remake will be released for PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch. A release window has not been announced.

Dragon Quest III HD-2D Remake will use the HD-2D graphics style previously used in Octopath Traveler and Triangle Strategy, and was originally announced in 2021. The original Dragon Quest III was released for the Famicom in Japan in 1988, making its western debut in 1992. The game is the third title in the Erdrick saga, but takes place prior to the events of its predecessors.
