River City Girls 2 Gets Double Dragon DLC

WayForward Technologies announced that beat-’em-up RPG River City Girls 2 will be getting DLC this summer. The DLC will add Double Dragon protagonists Billy and Jimmy Lee as playable characters. Both characters will be integrated into the game’s story mode, with voice acting from actors Dan Avidan (Billy) and Arin Hanson (Jimmy) of the Game Grumps, plus a new song performed by the actors. In addition, a free update will also add a Double Dragon-themed motion comic, two new shops, new accessories, and more to the game for all players.

River City Girls 2 is a spin-off to the Kunio-kun brawler series and a follow-up to 2019’s River City Girls. The base game features six playable characters — with Misako, Kyoko, Kunio, and Riki joined by newcomers Marian and Provie — as well as two-player online co-op. River City Girls 2 also adds new items, weapons, moves, shops, and hazards, plus a day-night cycle, quest tracking, three difficulty settings, and dialogue that changes depending on the player-controlled characters. It is available for PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch.
