New Hellgate: London Game in Development

Developer Lunacy Games announced that it has entered a licencing agreement with HanbitSoft to create a new Hellgate: London game. The game is codenamed Hellgate: Redemption and will take place in an as-yet-unrevealed part of the franchise’s alternate-history world. A release window has not been announced, but the game is stated to be in development for PC and consoles.

Lunacy Games is founded by Bill Roper, the former CEO of Hellgate: London developer Flagship Studios. Hellgate: London was released for PC in 2007 and is widely credited with establishing the “looter shooter” sub-genre. The game is set in a post-apocalyptic, demon-invaded London in the year 2038.
