Publisher Versus Evil Shutting Down

Versus Evil revealed that the publishing labelling is shutting down. Statements from the label’s staff members revealed that its staff have been laid off by parent company tinyBuild. tinyBuild acquired Versus Evil and its internal development studio Red Cerberus in 2021.

Versus Evil was founded in 2013 as and focused on titles from various independent developers. Titled published by the label include Obsidian Entertainment’s Pillars of Eternity II: Deadfire, Stoic’s Banner Saga series, EVC’s Wintermoor Tactics Club, and more. It is not yet clear how the decision will impact upcoming titles set to be published by the label.
