Outward: Definitive Edition Coming to Switch Next Year

Plaion and Nine Dots Studio announced that Outward: Definitive Edition will release on Nintendo Switch in 2024. The Switch version of the open-world RPG is being developed in collaboration with studio Sneaky Box. It includes the base game as well as its two DLC — The Three Brothers and The Soroboreans — plus quality-of-life and balance adjustments.

Outward puts players in the role of a vulnerable inhabitant of the fantasy world of Aurai. The game features hardcore survival elements including wounds that can become infected plus the need for sleep and sustenance. It also features two-player cooperative multiplayer both locally and online. Outward was originally released for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One in 2019, with the Definitive Edition released for PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S in 2022.
