Wantless: Solace at World’s End Coming to Steam Early Access in November
Twin Sails Interactive and Drop Rate Studio announced that tactical RPG Wantless: Solace at World’s End will release on Steam Early Access on November 8, 2023. The game is currently expected to spend around a year in Early Access before fully releasing on PC.
Wantless: Solace at World’s End is billed as a fast-paced tactical RPG with a focus on challenging combat and skill-crafting. The game is set in a dystopian future, with players controlling Eiris. He is one of the last Transposers, a doctor who is able to delve into the minds and memories of the patients.
Eiris takes on manifestations of his patients’ internal horrors in turn-based combat, but every action he takes during each turn grants more actions for enemies on theirs. Players can use the environment to their advantage, with each “transposition” offering its own randomly-generated objective, biome, and rewards. The game also features an in-depth skill forging system, which lets players adjust each skill’s effects, range, form, and more to suit different strategies.
