One Piece Odyssey Gets Trailer, Demo Announced

Bandai Namco released a new “Memories” trailer for One Piece Odyssey. The video highlights the “World of Memories” in which the Straw Hat pirates find themselves, taking them back to locations and story arcs from across the main One Piece series. Four arcs highlighted in the trailer: Alabasta, Water Seven, Marineford, and Dressrosa.

In addition, Bandai Namco announced that a free demo will release on January 10, 2023, on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S. The demo will allow players to transfer their progress to the full version of the game, which launches on January 13, 2023, for the same platforms plus PC.

One Piece Odyssey helps mark the manga series’ 25th anniversary with its story supervised by series creator Eiichiro Oda. The game will feature nine playable characters — Luffy, Zoro, Nami, Usopp, Sanji, Chopper, Robin, Franky, and Brook — with the game voiced by its original Japanese anime voice cast.
