Like a Dragon Gaiden: The Man Who Erased His Name Details Side Content

Sega and Ryū ga Gotoku Studio revealed new details and screenshots for Like a Dragon Gaiden: The Man Who Erased His Name. The update covers some of the side content and mini-games available in the game, including its coliseum, cabaret club, RC cars, arcade games, and more.

The game features an adult theme park called the Castle, which is based on a mysterious floating tanker and caters only to selection of VIPs. Its primary event is the Hell Arena, an underground combat arena with a variety of different modes. Tournament and Hell Rumble modes see a competitor taking on swarms of opponents, while Special Event Matches feature a random selection of matches with the own rules. There is also a team-versus-team battles called Hell Team Rumble. Hell Team Rumble sees players forming a team, with optional recruits including past series characters such as Goro Majima, organising and training them to take advantage of their individual strengths. Players can recruit new allies, improve their current team’s camaraderie, or alleviate fatigue at the Fighters’ Lounge.

Meanwhile, the cabaret club is a returning feature for the series, where Kiryu can spend time with the hostesses. Like a Dragon Gaiden: The Man Who Erased His Name’s iteration features five live-action models. After spending enough time and building a rapport with them, they might invite Kiryu to spend time with them in private. Pocket Circuit is another returning element, where players can build and race remote control cars. This can be found at the CourStar bar and café in Sotenbori and features time attack and rival challenge modes. Karaoke is also returning, with a new Christmas song “Sayonara Silent Night”, while Kiryu can also perform a duet with new character Akame.

Players are able to customise Kiryu’s appearance through the boutique. They can select a base outfit as well as various accessories including hat, glasses, shoes, and more. Players can also play a variety of classic Sega titles at the arcade. New games added to the arcade for this entry include Fighting Vipers 2 and Sega Racing Classic 2 (aka Daytona USA 2). Finally, the in-game darts machines have been upgrade to Darts Live 3, adding a count-up cricket mode as well as various special darts designs.

Like a Dragon Gaiden: The Man Who Erased His Name is set between the events of Yakuza 6: The Song of Life and Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth. It follows regular series protagonist Kazuma Kiryu, who is now operating under the codename “Joryu”, and features the locations of Sotenbori and Yokohama. The game will release on November 9, 2023, for PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S.
