Final Fantasy VII Rebirth Gets Release Date, New Trailer

During Sony’s most recent State of Play, Square Enix unveiled a new trailer for Final Fantasy VII: Rebirth. The trailer shows off the expanded scope of the sequel, including the game’s environments, new cast members, and mini-games. Additionally, a release date of February 29, 2024, was given for the game.

Square Enix also announced the different versions of the game now available to pre-order. Beyond the standard physical edition, a physical Deluxe and Collector’s Editions will also be available. The Deluxe Edition, available for $99.99, includes:

  • A mini soundtrack CD
  • An artbook
  • A SteelBook case

The Collector’s Edition, exclusive to the Square Enix Online Store for $349.99, will include all the above contents as well as a highly-detailed collectible Sephiroth statue. The game will also be available digitally, with a Digital Deluxe Edition available for $89.99 that includes:

  • Digital mini soundtrack
  • Digital artbook
  • Digital DLC items including Summoner Materia, the Magic Pot, Reclaimant Choker accessory, and the Orchid Bracelet

The digital DLC items are also a part of the physical Deluxe and Collector’s editions. A double pack of both Final Fantasy VII Rebirth and Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade will be available digitally for the price $99.99 for the standard editions or $119.99 for the Digital Deluxe Editions of both titles. Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade will be available immediately upon pre-ordering the double pack.

Final Fantasy VII Rebirth is the second part of the retelling of Final Fantasy VII. It picks up after the escape from Midgar events from Final Fantasy VII Remake. The game is set to be exclusive to the PlayStation 5 for at least three months.
