Sword Art Online: Last Recollection Details Editions, Ritual of Bonds DLC

Bandai Namco announced that pre-orders are now available for the upcoming Sword Art Online: Last Recollection. The game is available in multiple editions ahead of its October 6, 2023, launch date for PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S. There will also be multiple upgrade options available, with Bandai Namco also revealing the Ritual of Bonds post-launch DLC that will be included on the game’s Season Pass.

Editions

  • Standard Edition ($59.99)
  • Deluxe Edition ($84.99) — Includes the base game and Season Pass
  • Ultimate Edition ($99.99) — Includes the base game, Season Pass, a digital soundtrack, and a digital artbook

Upgrades

  • Season Pass ($24.99) — Grants access to both parts of the Ritual of Bonds DLC once they become available. Ritual of Bonds sees Kirito and his allies investigating a large underground labyrinth that suddenly appears, which contains multiple dungeons.
  • Ritual of Bonds DLC Part 1 ($14.99) — Adds Strea, Philia, Sinon, Silica, Asuna, Lisbeth, Dorothy, Premiere, and Tia to the labyrtinh dungeons
  • Ritual of Bonds DLC Part 2 ($14.99) — Adds Rain, Seven, Alice, Eugeo, Leafa, a character to be named later, Medina, Kureha, and Zeliska to the labyrthin dungeons
  • Ultimate Upgrade ($24.99, Steam only) — Digital soundtrack, digital artbook, and a weapons skin set

Sword Art Online: Last Recollection is planned as the last entry in the game series’s continuity. Its events are inspired by the main light novel/anime series’ Underworld War arc. It sees Kirito preparing for battle as the gate to the Dark Territory opens, threatening to unleash terror on the Human Realm in the Underworld, while in the real world, forces are attempting to evolve AIs through its warfare.
