The First Descendant Gets Launch Window, Cross-Play Beta

Nexon announced an upcoming cross-platform beta test for its free-to-play co-op RPG shooter The First Descendant. The announcement of the beta comes alongside the reveal that the game will launch for PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S in Q4 2023. The beta will run on all platforms from August 22 through August 28, 2023, with those interested in participating able to sign up now.

The First Descendant takes place on a world that mixes sci-fi and fantasy, and features co-op for up to four players. Players control a Descendant, one tasked with defending the Ingris continent and fighting against alien invaders to help ensure the survival of humanity. Nexon released a new trailer that showcases two more playable characters — Valby and Kyle — with thirteen playable characters to be included in the beta.
