Starfield Direct Provides New Trailer and Details

As part of its Starfield Direct event, Bethesda Softworks has released a new trailer for its upcoming spacefaring RPG Starfield as well as some new details regarding its story. The game takes place in the year 2330, when humanity has ventured past its own solar system and settled distant planets. Players join a group of space explorers known as Constellation, who seek rare artifacts throughout the galaxy. The full Starfield Direct, also viewable below, goes further in-depth about many of the game’s aspects such as combat, exploration, ship and outpost design and customization, character customization, featured cities, and even some of the tech behind the game.

Starfield is set to release on September 6, 2023, on PC, Xbox Series X|S, and via the Game Pass subscription service. Game Pass subscribers and those who pre-order the game will receive the “Old Mars Skin Pack” in-game bonus consisting of a Laser Cutter, a Deep Mining Helmet, and a Deep Mining Pack. Special Premium Edition and Constellation Edition versions will also be available to order that include the following:
