New World Closed Beta Beginning Next Month

Amazon Games announced that the closed beta for MMORPG New World will begin on July 23, 2020. The closed beta will be available to those who have pre-ordered the game as well as to a selected number of those who have signed up for the beta on the game’s official website. An end date for the beta has not been announced, but it will be before the game’s full launch on PC on August 25, 2020.

New World is set on the fictional, supernatural island of Aeternum during the 17th century. The game does not include traditional classes, with character builds based on weapons, skill progression systems, and attributes. Players aim to lay claim to the land, fighting against both the forces of nature and each other.
