Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak Gets Final Bonus Update

Capcom announced it is releasing a free final bonus update for Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak. The bonus update releases today for PC and Nintendo Switch, adding the game’s final monster: Primordial Malzeno. It will also include some changes to armour augmentations and decorations, while a number of new challenging Event Quests will be added up until July 27, 2023.

The game and its story were initially planned to end with the clash with Amatsu in Free Update 5, but Primordial Malzeno provides a conclusion for the relationship between the Elder Dragon and the Kingdom. Primordial Malzeno will be available at Master Rank level 10 and will provide parts that can be used on a new armour set and weapons. Capcom also announced that Free Update 4, Free Update 5, and the bonus update will be released as a single package for the PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S versions on August 24, 2023.

Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak is an expansion to Monster Hunter Rise and released for PC and Nintendo Switch in June 2022. Sunbreak includes a new storyline as well as new locations, new monsters, a new quest rank, and new gameplay features. It released on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S on April 28, 2023, with the post-release content up to Free Title Update 3 (Ver.13) available at launch.
