The Outer Worlds: Spacer’s Choice Edition Launching Next Week

Private Division and Obsidian Entertainment have announced The Outer Worlds: Spacer’s Choice Edition. The enhanced version of sci-fi RPG The Outer Worlds will release for PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S on March 7, 2023. The Spacer’s Choice Edition will include better graphics, improved performance, additional animations, and higher-resolution environments, as well as an increased level cap.

The Outer Worlds: Spacer’s Choice Edition will be available for $59.99 and include the Murder on Eridanos and Peril on Gorgon DLC. Those who own the original game and both DLC on PC, PlayStation 4, or Xbox One will be able to upgrade to the Spacer’s Choice Edition on the relevant console or storefront for $9.99.

The Outer Worlds originally released in 2019 for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One, with a Nintendo Switch version released in 2020. The game is set in a corporate colony in the planetary system of Halcyon and features first-person exploration and combat, with players able to use “Tactical Time Dilation” to slow time down, as well as branching dialogue, a companion system, and a setting heavily influenced by player decisions.
