Sword Art Online: Last Recollection Gets New Trailer
Bandai Namco released a new trailer for action RPG Sword Art Online: Last Recollection. The two-minute video features various short snippets from events in the game, and introduces Dorothy, a dark knight sent to try and make peace between the Dark Territory and the Human Realm.
Sword Art Online: Last Recollection is planned as the final entry in the game series continuity, which branched off from the main light novel and anime series with the first title Sword Art Online: Infinity Moment. Its events are inspired by the main series’ Underworld War arc and see Kirito preparing for battle as the gate to the Dark Territory opens, threatening to unleash terror on the Human Realm in the Underworld, while in the real world, forces are attempting to evolve AIs through its warfare. The game is being developed by Aquria and is planned for release on PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S in 2023.
In addition, Bandai Namco announced that Sword Art Online: Alicization Lycoris‘s Blooming of Forget-me-not DLC — previously released on PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One — is now available for Nintendo Switch. The game’s first DLC, Blooming of Forget-me-not is set after Alicization Lycoris’s main story and features a new adventure where Kirito and Eugeo set out to forge a new ultimate sword after Kirito witnesses a dream in which Eugeo dies. The DLC is priced at $24.99 individually and is included in a $44.99 Premium Pass that includes future access to its second DLC, Blooming of Matricaria.
