The Outbound Ghost Spirited to PlayStation, Switch Next Week

Digerati and Conradical Games announced that The Outbound Ghost will makes its console debut next week. The adventure RPG will release digitally for PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 on November 30, 2022, with a Nintendo Switch release following a day later on December 1, 2022. In addition, physical Nintendo Switch copies — distributed by Merge Games — are available to pre-order and are set to release on December 2, 2022. The game is also planned to release on Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S at a later date.

In addition, Digerati and Conradical Games revealed an update roadmap for the game. In November the game will get French, Spanish, and German language options, as well as new NPCs and sidequests, plus a remastered soundtrack. December will see the addition of a New Game+ mode and a rework of how status effects are displayed. Finally, more UI reworks, additional post-game bosses, map and quick-travel reworks, and new objective and party chat will be added in 2023.

The Outbound Ghost debuted on PC in September 2022 and puts players in the role of a new spectral arrival in Outbound, a town inhabited by ghosts trapped in limbo. The player ghost helps others resolve their issues to let them pass on to the afterlife, while uncovering the mysteries behind their own death. The game features paper-style characters with turn-based battles and a badge system that lets players gain stat boosts and other effects.
