River City Girls 2 Trailer Highlights Provie

Following on from its recent Marian-focused character trailer, WayForward Technologies released a new video for River City Girls 2. The 90-second video introduces another of the game’s new playable characters, Provie. Originally appearing in River City Ransom: Underground, Provie has a combat style that makes use of her breakdancing abilities.

Provie’s special attacks are designed to flow into each other. Her Flare spin-kick is designed as her regular combo opener, able to cancel into others such as her Back Spin, Broken Propeller, and Spin Cycle moves, which all let her move around or change directions while dealing damage to enemies.

River City Girls 2 is a spin-off to the Kunio-kun brawler series. It will feature six playable characters — with Misako, Kyoko, Kunio, and Riki joined by newcomers Marian and Provie — as well as two-player online co-op. River City Girls 2 will also add new items, weapons, moves, shops, and hazards, plus a day-night cycle, quest tracking, three difficulty settings, and dialogue that changes depending on the player-controlled characters. The game is planned to release on PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch later this year.
