Ni no Kuni Heads to Xbox

Bandai Namco has released Level-5’s Ni no Kuni: Wrath of the White Witch Remastered on Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S. The game is available digitally for $49.99, or included as part of the Xbox Game Pass subscription service. It is also available on PC through the Xbox Store and Xbox Game Pass. In addition, the company announced that Ni no Kuni II: Revenant Kingdom will be released on Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S in 2023.

Ni no Kuni: Wrath of the White Witch was originally released for PlayStation 3 in Japan in 2011, before coming to North America and Europe in 2013 and later being remastered for PC, PlayStation 4, and Nintendo Switch. The game was originally conceived as Ni no Kuni: Dominion of the Dark Djinn, which was released only in Japan for Nintendo DS in 2010, with Wrath of the White Witch including an extended storyline that takes place after the conclusion of the original game. Ni no Kuni: Wrath of the White Witch follows a young boy named Oliver, whose mother dies shortly after rescuing Oliver from drowning. However, his tears cause a fairy named Drippy to appear, who takes him to another, fantasy world under the control of an evil wizard called Shadar.

Ni no Kuni II returns players to the world of the first game and the land of Ding Dong Dell, this time controlling a young boy named Evan, a deposed king who sets out to reclaim his throne. It was originally released for PC and PlayStation 4 in 2018, with a Nintendo Switch version released in 2021.
