More Infinity Strash: Dragon Quest The Adventure of Dai Details Revealed

Square Enix provided a few extra details for the upcoming action RPG Infinity Strash: Dragon Quest The Adventure of Dai following its worldwide release announcement at the Tokyo Game Show. The game will include two main modes: Adventure Mode and the Temple of Recollection.

Adventure Mode features a retelling of the Dragon Quest: The Adventure of Dai anime and manga series up through the Sovereign Rock Castle arc. It will let players control Dai, Popp, Maam, and Hyunckel, and include various CG event scenes. Meanwhile, the Temple of Recollection is an original dungeon with multiple floors that features different enemies and stage mechanics with each playthrough. Player choices will also affect character abilities and potential enemies.

Square Enix also detailed Memento Bonds. These are items that players come across during the game that can be equipped on characters to upgrade their stats. Each Memento Bond is based on an event from the manga, and their acquisition is accompanied by a short scene showing that event.

Infinity Strash: Dragon Quest The Adventure of Dai is in development for PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and Nintendo Switch though a release window has not been announced. The game is the second recent title to be based on The Adventure of Dai series, following free-to-play mobile title Dragon Quest: The Adventure of Dai – A Hero’s Bonds.
