Valkyrie Elysium, Valkyrie Profile: Lenneth Launching on PS4, PS5 in September

Square Enix announced that Valkyrie Elysium will release for PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 on September 29, 2022. The action RPG, being developed by Soleil Ltd., will also release for PC via Steam on November 11, 2022. The console version will be available in physical and digital standard editions, with the PC version available in a digital standard edition.

In addition, the PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 versions will get a Digital Deluxe Edition that includes 72-hours early access to the game, the in-game “Svartaljr: Sword of the Goddess of the Underworld” item, and a digital copy of Valkyrie Profile: Lenneth. Valkyrie Profile: Lenneth is a port of the PlayStation Portable remaster of the first Valkyrie Profile game, and will also be available to purchase separately for PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5. The PC version will also get a Digital Deluxe Edition that includes the in-game “Svartaljr: Sword of the Goddess of the Underworld” item, with pre-orders of the PC version receiving 72-hours early access.

Valkyrie Elysium follows a young Valkyrie entrusted with the fate of the world. She is tasked by the All-Father, ruler of the gods, with stopping Ragnarok and the destruction of the world. The game’s combat makes use of finishing moves and combo systems, as well as summonable Einherjar allies, while the music is composed by series veteran Motoi Sakuraba, with character designs from Yuya Nagai (NieR: Automata).
