Sword Art Online: Alicization Lycoris’s Blooming of Matricaria DLC Out Now

Bandai Namco has released the latest major DLC for Sword Art Online: Alicization Lycoris. The Blooming of Matricaria DLC is available on PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One. It follows the events of the previous “Ancient Apostles” content and Blooming Of Forget-Me-Not DLC, and sees Kirito and his allies attempt to prevent the Four Lords from using the Divine Object of Mass Destruction. It includes new playable character Rogu and the new Shield and Axe weapon type, plus new maps, dungeons, and enemies.

In addition, Bandai Namco revealed a release date for the recently-announced Nintendo Switch version of the game. The Switch version will release on September 30, 2022.

Sword Art Online: Alicization Lycoris originally released for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One in 2020. Although the game series follows its own separate continuity, Alicization Lycoris is loosely based on the main light novel and anime series’ “Alicization” story arc, which takes place in the Underworld, a virtual world where AIs act like humans.
