Dragon Quest Treasures Releasing on Switch in December

Square Enix announced a release date for Dragon Quest spin-off Dragon Quest Treasures. The treasure-hunting RPG will release worldwide for Nintendo Switch on December 9, 2022.

Originally teased as a new Dragon Quest Monsters game in 2018, Dragon Quest Treasures is a spin-off featuring Erik and Mia from Dragon Quest XI: Echoes of an Elusive Age. The game is set during the siblings’ childhood before the events of Dragon Quest XI and sees them searching for loot in a treasure hunting paradise. Treasure is often found in hard-to-access places so Erik and Mia recruit friendly monsters and make use of their abilities to collect the loot, which they use to expand their home base.
