The Legend of Heroes: Kuro no Kiseki Asian PS5, PC Releases Announced

Nihon Falcom announced a dedicated PlayStation 5 version of The Legend of Heroes: Kuro no Kiseki in Japan. The PlayStation 5 version will release in Japan on July 28, 2022, and include 4K resolution and 60 fps support, as well as high-speed mode and an in-game archive. Save data from the PlayStation 4 version will be transferable to the PlayStation 5 version.

In addition, publisher Clouded Leopard Entertainment announced it will release the PlayStation 5 version and a PC version in Asia on that same date. The Legend of Heroes: Kuro no Kiseki is the start of a new story arc for the wider series. The game is set in the diverse Calvard Republic, the eastern neighbour and superpower rival to the Erebonian Empire that was the setting for the Trails of Cold Steel subseries. It features a hybrid combat system where players can switch between real-time and turn-based combat. Its direct sequel, The Legend of Heroes: Kuro no Kiseki II -Crimson Sin-, is set to release for PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 in Japan later this year.

In other Japanese Legend of Heroes news, Nihon Falcom announced a new PlayStation 4 bundle containing all four games in the Trails of Cold Steel subseries as well as subsequent title The Legend of Heroes: Trails into Reverie. The bundle will be available physically and digitally and will also release in Japan on July 28, 2022.
