New Release Round-Up (March 3, 2022)

Welcome to RPGamer’s new release round-up. In this column we look to provide our readers with details on all of the RPGs released over the week. Please note we do not currently include Early Access releases where the game is still in development.


Ambition Record

Ambition Record is a retro-styled turn-based JRPG. The game follows Rafael, a young knight sent to crush a revolt led by a count in the northern part of the kingdom. However, the kingdom’s chancellor suddenly starts acting strangely.


Babylon’s Fall

Platform: PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5

Babylon’s Fall is an action RPG that features four-player online co-op and puts players in control of warriors known as Sentinels. They are bonded to equipment called Gideon Coffins — which let them wield four weapons at once — and attempt to overcome the massive Tower of Babylon through numerous missions. The game will feature seasonal post-launch content, with the Season 1 Premium Battle Pass to be made available for free to all players (subsequent Seasons will be paid).


Conan Chop Chop

Platform: PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch

Conan Chop Chop is an action roguelite featuring local and online co-op for up to four players. Players control heroes from Hyboria (Conan the Barbarian) as part of the Wrath-a-Thon, a challenge created by the evil sorcerer Thoth-Amon. Experience earned from each run is used to unlock new character perks and abilities.


ELEX II

Platform: PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S

ELEX II is a sequel to 2017 action RPG ELEX. The game is set some years after the events of the first game, with the planet Magalan enjoying a period of peace as new factions rise in place of the vanquished ones. However, protagonist Jax returns bringing news of a new threat to Magalan, and must unite the new factions in order to overcome it. Legend of Ixtona

Legend of Ixtona is a strategy RPG set in the kingdom of Ixtona. is a retro-styled turn-based JRPG. It follows Prince Kyle, after his brother Erbax murders his father and seizes the crown.


Puzzle Quest 3

Price: Free-to-play

Gem-matching RPG Puzzle Quest 3 takes place 500 years after the events of the original Puzzle Quest. It features a head-to-head combat system with new gameplay mechanics and five hero classes available at launch.


Quest for Infamy

Platform: PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch (previously released on PC)
Publisher: Ratalaika Games

Price: $9.99

Adventure RPG Quest for Infamy was originally released for PC in 2014. The game follows anti-hero William Roehm as he attempts to escape the valley of Krasna. Those looking to read more about Quest for Infamy can check out Michael Baker’s review of its PC release.


Triangle Strategy

Platform: Nintendo Switch
Publisher: Nintendo
Developer: Square Enix, Artdink
Available: Nintendo eShop
Price: $59.99

Triangle Strategy is a turn-based tactical RPG that follows protagonist Serenoa Wolffort through a conflict involving three continental powers. It features choices based around three convictions — Utility, Morality, and Liberty — that make up protagonist Serenoa’s worldview. Major decisions are settled with the Scales of Conviction, where allies will vote for which option to take, with players able to influence the voting.
