The Outer Worlds: Murder on Eridanos Hitting Switch Next Week

Obsidian Entertainment and Private Division announced that The Outer Worlds second DLC, Murder on Eridanos, will be released on Nintendo Switch on September 8, 2021. The DLC will be available individually for $14.99 or included with the game’s Expansion Pass with the previous Peril on Gorgon expansion. Murder on Eridanos sees players travelling across the floating islands of Eridanos, using the Discrepancy Amplifier to find clues about the murder of Rizzo’s Beverages spokesperson Halcyon Helen just prior to the launch of Spectrum Brown Vodka.

The Outer Worlds is co-directed by Tim Cain and Leonard Boyarsky, two of the original creators of Fallout. The game features first-person exploration and combat, with players able to use “Tactical Time Dilation” to slow time down, as well as branching dialogue, a companion system, and a setting heavily influenced by player decisions. The Outer Worlds originally released in 2019 for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One, with a Nintendo Switch version released in 2020.
