Team17 Publishing Broken Roads
Publisher Team17 announced it is partnering with developer Drop Bear Bytes for the release of Broken Roads. The post-apocalyptic RPG will release in 2022 for PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch.
Broken Roads is set in Western Australia and follows a group of companions as they travel across the region, making allies, battling enemies, and investigating strange goings-on. The game features real-time exploration with turn-based combat as well a Moral Compass morality system. The Moral Compass uses four different philosophical paths: Humanist, Utilitarian, Machiavellian, and Nihilist. At the start of the game, players are asked a series of questions that determine their starting position on the compass, with choices during the game shifting their position and affecting available choices, NPC reactions, and quests.
