Gloria Union Remaster Announced for Japan

Developer Sting has announced a remastered version of its tactical RPG Gloria Union: Twin Fates in Blue Ocean. The FHD Edition will launch for Switch, iOS, and Android in 2021 and include remastered graphics, additional functionality, and quality-of-life and difficulty adjustments.

Gloria Union was released for PlayStation Portable in Japan in 2011. The game is the fourth title in the Dept. Heaven‘s Union spin-off subseries. Although the first title in the subseries, Yggdra Union, was released in North America and Europe, Gloria Union was only released in Japan.

  1. I really REALLY hope that this gets a western release, but who am I kidding?

I really hope they have seen the success other Japanese devs had on steam and switch with bringing over their niche games…and take the plunge as well!

  2. I checked and learned that the Yggdra Union port to Switch came out in Japan back in March. I haven’t heard any rumbling of it being localized, though. So yeah, this game being localized seems unlikely at this point.
