Phantasy Star Online 2 Episode 5 International Release Announced

Sega officially announced the upcoming international release of Phantasy Star Online 2s Episode 5 content. The new content will be released as a free update on September 30, 2020. The episode’s story concerns a portal to another dimension called Omega, a fantasy world that contrasts the game’s otherwise sci-fi setting. In addition to the new content, the update will increase the player level cap to 90.

Phantasy Star Online 2 is currently available in North America and over thirty other countries on Xbox One and PC. The game was originally released for PC in Japan in 2012, with versions later made available for PlayStation Vita, PlayStation 4, and Nintendo Switch. The game, and its predecessor Phantasy Star Online, are spin-offs to the main Phantasy Star series, taking place in a separate galaxy. A new title, Phantasy Star Online 2: New Genesis, was announced earlier this year.
