Yakuza: Like a Dragon Bar Activities Detailed

Sega provided more details on Yakuza: Like a Dragon, detailing some of the things players can do at the main cast’s preferred bar hangout spot. Survive Bar is located in Yokohama’s snack district; the group chooses to hang out there after party member and regular Koichi Adachi invites them.

The bar is a karaoke bar, and so the series’ familiar karaoke mini-game returns. It includes songs from previous games, as well as some new ones and multiple characters can participate. Players can also collect over 30 CDs in the game, including music from the series, which can be played on the bar’s stereo system.

Survive Bar has planters at its front and, and, once given permission by the manager, players can grow their own plants. Options include vegetables, flowers, and seedlings, and there are other available planters around Yokohama. After a certain period, which differs between plants, players will be able to harvest them. Items can be used to speed up growth, increase the yield, and add other effects to the plants.

In the last revealed activity, players can even ask the bar’s manager to make things from the items they have harvested. These include bento boxes that can be used as healing items, bouquets that can be given to characters, and otherwise costly herbal medicines, and will be provided free of charge if players have the ingredients required.

In addition, Sega released the third part of its video series featuring producer Masayoshi Yokoyama and voice actors Kazuhiro Nakaya (Ichiban Kasuga), Yuichi Nakamura (Joon-gi Han), Eri Kamataki (Eri Kamataki), and Iroha Yanagi (Iroha Yanagi). The video shows a few of the locations and play spots in Yokohama, as well as the new game’s company management element.

Yakuza: Like a Dragon is the newest title in the series and is known as Yakuza 7 in Japan. It is set to be released for PlayStation 4 in Japan on January 16, 2020, with a western release coming sometime later in 2020. A demo is currently available in Japan.
