CrossCode Gets Development Update

Radical Fish Games has provided an update on its current development progress for CrossCode. The developer has completed its New Game Plus feature for PC, and is now turning its attention to DLC for the post-game that will include an epilogue, more quests, and a “proper final dungeon”. The DLC is currently planned for release in Q2 2020.

The developer also provided a message from publisher Deck13 Spotlight, which is working on the console versions of the game. Creation of the console versions has met challenges as a result of the game being written in HTML5, with the solution creating performance issues. These issues are now being ironed out, but the publisher is not ready to set a release date at this time.

CrossCode is a 2D action RPG set in the near future that follows Lea, a mute girl who logs into an MMORPG, and was originally released for PC, Mac, and Linux in 2018. Those looking to read more about the game can check out Joe Hanley’s review of the PC version.
