Tactical RPG The Protagonist: EX-1 Announced

Publisher All in! Games has announced The Protagonist: EX-1, an upcoming turn-based tactical sci-fi RPG. The game is being developed by studio 3Mind Games and is planned for release on PC via Steam sometime in 2020.

The Protagonist: EX-1 takes place on the planet Terra as it comes under attack from synthetic invaders. The Terran forces come up with a plan to infiltrate the orbiting space station that appears to be leading the invaders, sending in a team led by science and martial arts expert Angel. However, Angel wakes up in the stations infirmary lab with no memory of the events that caused her to be there. Players are put in the role of Angel’s handler as they guide her through the ship to locate her squad and complete her mission.

The game will feature seven player characters, with nineteen weapon types, and an isometric combat system that lets lets players customise their close-ranged abilities. It will feature decisions made through dialogue that will affect how other characters react and respond.
