Nintendo Shows Some Astral Chain at Gamescom

Nintendo held a Nintendo Presents stream from this week’s Gamescom trade fair in Cologne, where it showed some gameplay for PlatinumGames’ upcoming title Astral Chain. The hosts are joined by director Takahira Taura as they show off a newly-revealed area and some new enemies alongside the game’s exploration and combat.

Astral Chain is set in a futuristic, multicultural city called The Ark. Players act as a rookie officer in Neuron, a task force dedicated to overcoming the threat of alien creatures that appear in the city through extradimensional gates, choosing either the male or female character of a pair of twins. The game is set to be released worldwide exclusively on Nintendo Switch on August 30, 2019.
