The Division 2 Plans for Future, Free Weekend

During its E3 press conference, Ubisoft announced that it has a Year One roadmap for Tom Clancy’s The Division 2. The first year of updates for the game will include three new story packs, the first of which is set to release in July 2019. This first episode, entitled D.C. Outskirts: Expeditions, will see players explore the forests around Washington D.C. as well as the biomes of Washington National Zoo in search of the leader of the Outcasts. The second episode, arriving in fall 2019 under the title Pentagon: The Last Castle, will see players secure the Pentagon and its secrets from the Black Tusks. The final episode, teased by a new trailer, will be Coney Island: Homecoming, which sees players return to New York City, the location of the first Division.

Ubisoft also announced a free-to-play weekend for the game beginning June 13, 2019, and running through June 16, 2019. The Division 2 will also receive a forty percent discount until June 24, 2019, so that any interested players can continue the full game after the free weekend has ended, continuing their progress. Released earlier this year, The Division 2 is currently available on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC. The game has also been announced for Google Stadia and as a part of Uplay+, Ubisoft’s new subscription program.
