Several highlights from what has turned out to be one of the best E3s in years:

1.) Blaster Master Zero getting a physical edition from LRG

2.) Collection of Mana on Switch. )Does it get any better than this?).

3.) Seeing the time skip in the Fire Emblem Three Houses trailer and confirming the game would not be confined to a school setting. Elevated my hype for the game significantly.

4.) Romancing SaGa 3 and SaGa Scarlet Grace trailers

Under the assumption I’m not around for the show —

The joy of a Trials of Cold Steel III date, followed by the facepalming at there now being a dozen significant RPG releases between September 20-27.

Excited to see what direction Tales of Arise takes the series.

All the Fire Emblem stuff I saw very much sold me on the game.

I’m more up for replaying Final Fantasy VIII than I figured.

From Keanu Reeves to Ubisoft’s dancing panda, it was a really memorable E3. Great to see Square Enix make up for an awful 2018 show with a really strong line-up, and even kept back the Trials of Mana surprise for Nintendo to reveal.

However, it’s hard to beat the confirmation of a follow-up to Breath of the Wild, even if we don’t see it for another year or two.

  4. Definitely the combined surprised announcement AND release of Collection of Mana, including the long unlocalized Seiken Densetsu 3 as Trials of Mana as well as the announcement of an HD remake of the same game. I love it when a long-overdue localization comes out.
