Ni no Kuni: Wrath of the White Witch Remaster Coming in September

Bandai Namco has announced that it will be releasing Level-5’s Ni no Kuni: Wrath of the White Witch on new platforms. The PlayStation 4 and PC will receive the official titled Remastered edition, with enhanced visuals, while the Nintendo Switch will receive a port of the original game. PlayStation 4 owners will run the game at 1080p resolution with 60fps, while PlayStation 4 Pro owners will have the choice between 4K resolution at 30 fps or 1440p resolution at 60fps. The Nintendo Switch version will run at 720p resolution at 30 fps in both TV and handheld mode.

Ni no Kuni: Wrath of the White Witch was originally released for PlayStation 3 in Japan in 2011, before coming to North America and Europe in 2013. The game was originally conceived as Ni no Kuni: Dominion of the Dark Djinn, which was released only in Japan for Nintendo DS in 2010, with Wrath of the White Witch including an extended storyline that takes place after the conclusion of the original game. Ni no Kuni: Wrath of the White Witch follows a young boy named Oliver, whose mother dies shortly after resucing Oliver from drowning. However, his tears cause a fairy named Drippy to appear, who takes him to another fantasy world under the control of an evil wizard called Shadar.
